A Patient’s Rights
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is about to launch its new managed care program. If you are a claimant with a work-related injury, this program may drastically affect you.
The new program was developed through the cooperation of employers, doctors, unions and many organizations. It preserves one very important right for patients:
You may still treat with the Doctor of your choice!
If you work for a self-insured employer, you may be required to visit the company doctor for one visit before you choose your own doctor. But, you can choose to treat with your own doctor.
Please remember that the law allows you to request treatment from the doctor of your choice, no matter where you work.
If you have any questions about your treatment under the new managed care system, talk to your Chiropractic Physician today.
It is your responsibility to provide the office with the insurance information of all parties related to the accident including claim number, contact person, and phone number.
If you have obtained an attorney please provide that information so we may contact them accordingly.
Please contact our office with any questions regarding your accident.
